Brief Description:  Mark spar & ribs, clamp ribs to spar

I will be working exclusively on the right wing, probably until it is complete.

1. Draw lines on the rear of the spar to mark the extension of the rivet lines to the edge of the spar cap.

2. Draw rivet lines, 10-mm from the web, on the flanges of all 9 right wing ribs.

3. Clamp ribs 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, to the spar, aligning the rivet lines on the back of the front flange of the ribs to the rivet lines extensions on the spar. Essentially all the ribs required a touch-up of the spar joggle to allow the rib to fit onto the spar w/o pushing out the spar angles. I'll take care of ribs 1, 3, and 9, after 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8 are drilled & clecoed. See Fig. 1.

4. Check each and adjust each rib so that they are perpindicular to the top spar cap.

5. Make small witness marks at the top and bottom of each rib so that I can detect movement during drilling. See Fig. 2.

6. Rotate the spar 90° so that I can drill through the pilot holes in the spar to the front flange of the ribs.
