Brief Description:  ScotchBrite-again, wash, prime joint areas

I repeated the ScotchBrite treatment with maroon ScotchBrite after I discovered that the Zenair constuction standards say to not use Type S ScotchBrite, and, of course, that is what I has used the 1st time. Hopefully, I haven't created a corrosion problem by using the Type S.

I ordered a package of #7447 ScotchBrite which is Zenair's main recommendation. Next time I'll definitely have the right stuff.

Then I washed the disassembled parts in a PineSol-warm water bath, rinsed with cold water from the hose, and dried in the sun.

Then I primed the joint areas with a 50-50 mix of Cortec 373 and denatured alcohol. I used a sponge "brush" to apply it. Mostly it went on pretty evenly. It is white going on, but dries clear, which makes it tough to know whether things are covered evenly. Some I painted twice before I realized it was drying clear. I dried it on saw horses outside for an hour or so and then overnight on the workbench inside. the overnight drying is really necessary to get it past the "dry but sticky" stage.
