Brief Description:  TENSION STRAP

1 Remove the two upper and the one lower nose ger trunnion attachment block bolts on the right side.

2 Place theopn end of the tension strap on the right trunnion bearing block and the other end against the actuator attchment bracket.

3 Trim the end of the tension strap at the firewall to fit. Retain as much material as possible while eliminating any cntact or interference with the actuator attachment bracket, hardware, or components of the installation.

4 Match drill the open end of the tension strap to the nose gear bearing block. Attach the strap as shown below.

5 Match drill the actuator bolt hole

6 With the tension strap located between the actuator attachment bracket and the bearing block locate a line that runs through the centre of the bolt at the actuator attachment bracket and the pivot centre of the trunnion at the bearing block. Scribe a mark along this line near the firewall end strap t be used in positioning the doubler plate.

7 Remove the tension strap.

8 Insert an AN7 bolt through the tension strap and doubler plate. Aligh the centre rivet row in the doubler plate with the scribe mark made on the tension strap, tem match drill the doubler plate to the tensiion strap. Apply corrosion protection tothe rivet holes.

9 Rivet the doubler plate tothe tension strap

10 Apply corrosion rotection to all cut edges and bolt holes in the tension strap prior to final insallation.

11 Insert the AN7-35A bolt through the actuator attachment braket then use it to align the angle bracket. The angle bracket should also seat directly against the actuator attachment bracket. Use shimss underneath the angle bracket as required.

12 Matchdrill the angle braket tothe firwall then install it using bolts, washers, and locknuts.

13 Install the tension strap at the firewall as shown. Add additional washersto fill any extra width between the ligs, spacers, bolt head, and nut.

14 Install the tension strap at the trunion bearing block as shown.
