Attach the plunger mount plate to the firewall. The plate should be installed after the fireproof blanket has been attached to the firewall.

Seal the bolt penertrations with RTV sealant to prevent pressure leaks.

Attach the nose door plunger mount onto the door plunger plate.

Insert the gas spring into the nose door planger mount and loosly hold the spring in the mount using the attachmnet hardware. Do not tighten the screws until the final adjustment of the nose gear doors has been completed.

With the cross-t aligned parallel to the firewall and the two nose gear plunger arms hanging vertically, determine the location of the actuator brakets on the nose gear door stiffeners.

With the gas spring fully extended there should be no pressure on the nose gear doors. When closed, the nose gear doors should be snug, but not so tight as to cause undue pressure or deformation of the doors.
