PITCH SERVO MOUNTS ON THE AFT FACE OF THE AFT SHEARBOX ON THE PILOTS SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT.
1 Set the elevator and the ailerons to the neutral position.
2 Combine the GSA 80 servo actuator, GSM 86 servo gearbox, and the clutch cartridge kit intoan assembly.
3 Attach the pitch servo to the mounting bracket.Tempprarily remove the servo arm if necessry.
4 Attach one end of the pitch control rod to the servo arm on the on the pitch servo and the other end to the elevator torque tube. Set the rod ends so they are threaded halfway into the control rod allowing for maximum adjusability.
5 Position the servo bracket against the face of the shearbox .
6 Mark the position of the bracket with marker, and match drill the the bracket.
7 Disconnect the pitch control rod from the elevator torque tube and from the servo arm.
8 Remove the servo from the bracket. Temporarily remove the servo arm if necessary.
9 Match drill the bracket to the shearbox.
10 Make screw hardpoints using screws ( MS24694-S540)
11 Attach the bracket to the shearbox using (AN960-10 )washers and (AN365-1032A) nuts
12 Attach the servo to the bracket. Reinstall the servo are if it was removed for servo installation to the bracket.
13 Connect the servo arm to the elevator torque tube using the pitch control rod assembly.
14 Remove the neutral pins from both control sticks and unclamp the eleators.
15 Verify the travel of the elevator and the rotation of the servo by moving the elevator torque tube through its range of motion. Ensure the servo arm moves freely and without binding. Adjust the control rod ends as required.
