1 Perform these prodcdures with the door removed from the aircraft.
2 Remove the interior door handle.
3 3 Remove the upholstery fro thr door as required to gain access to the door latch mechanism.
4 Disconnect the chains linking the door handle mechanism to the latches.
5 Remove three screws then ife the handle mechanism out off the door.
6 Remove the door latch mechanism top plate. Install the bushing and cam lock spacer then re-install the top plate.
7 Lift and rotate the exterior door handle to gain access to the handle cup.
8 Match drill the door handle lock core cutout for the lock to the door.
9 Remove the screws holding the handle cup to the door. These screws are secured on the back side of the door using washers and locknuts.
10 Remove the exterior door handle from the door.
11 Enlarge the match drilled hole in the door tobe slightly larger than the nut used to secure the lock th the handle cup.
12 Install the lock into the handle cup then apply locktite 242 th the threads on the lock and secure itwith the nut provided.
13 Inside the door handle mechanism is attached to a raised platform. Use the following full size template for the door locking components. Use a dremmel tool or similar to cut the hole.
14 Reinstall the ecterior door handle. Use silicone sealant on the bck side of the door handle to prevent cbin pressure leaks.
15 Insert thepin dowels into the door handle then slide the lock cam and the lock lever into place. The orientation shown is in the locked position.
16 Rotate the main shaft as required so the dowels seat into the slots in the shaft. Fasten the assemble to the platform.
17 Reinstall the chains connecting the doorlatch mechanism tothe doors.
18 Test the operation of the lock and the latch. Make sure any adjustment necessary.
