Brief Description:  HYD PUMP PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT

THE HYD PUMP IS AN PARKER/OILIDYNE POWERPACK.THE INTERNAL BYPASS PRESSURE FOR THE POWERPACK IS PRESET BY PARKER/OILDYNE TO EITHER 1400 PIS OR 2300PSI WITH THE SET PRESSURE INDICATED BY PART NUMBER.

THIS PRODCEDURE ASSUMES THE PUMP UNIT IS INSTALLED IN THE AIRCRFT AND THE SYSTM IS CHARGED WITH HYD FLUID. IF THE PUNP HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED START AT ITM 7

1 MAKE SURE THE GEAR DOWN SWITCH IS IN THE DOWN POSITION.

2 PULL THE HYD PUMP BREAKER.

3 DUMP THE SYSTEM PRESSURE BY OPENING THE EMERGENCY BY-PASS VALVE.

4 MAKE SURE THE PRESSURE GAUGE READS ZERO AND THE SYSTEM ISN' T PRESSURIZED.

5 THE PORT ON THE PUMP LABELED UP SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO THE HIGH PRESSURE LINE .THE PORT LABELED DOWN SHOULD BE CONNETED TOTHE LOW PRESSURE PORT.

6 DISCONNECT THE PIPING AND REMOVE THE PUMP FROM THE RSERVOIR.

7 TURN THE PUMP OVER.

8 THE HIGH PRSSURE BY-PASS/ RELIEF ADJUSMNET HEX IS LOCATED NEXT TO THE UPPORT.

9 HOLD THE ADJUSMENT HEX USING A WRENCH WHILE LOOSENING THE JAN NUT AT THE BOTTOM.

10 TURN THE HIGH PRESSURE HEX AS REQUIRED. ONE FULL TURN IN ( CLOCKWISE) EQULS APPROXIMATELY 500PIS PRESSURE INCREASE.

11 SECURE THE ADJUSTING HEX USING THE JAM NUT.

12 REINSTALL THE PUMP IS THE REVERSE OF REMOVAL.
