Brief Description:  ACTUATOR SHAFT RANGE OF TRAVEL

IT IS IMPORTANT TO PROPERLY INTSTALL THE LIMIT SWITCHES TO PREVENT THE ACTUATOR CONTINUING TO RUN AFTER THE END OF TRAVEL HAS BEEN REACHED. IF THE ACTUATOR COTINUES TO RUN IT WILL QUICKLY OVER HEAT AND BECOME IRREPARABLT DAMAGED.

LOOSLY INSTALL ALL LIMIT SWITCHES ONTO THE REED SWITCH HOLDER.

POSITION THE UP AND DOWN LIMIT SWITCHES APPROXIMATELY 3/4 " FORM THIER RESPECTIVE ENDS OF THE REED SWITCH HOLDER.

POSITION THE 50% LIMIT SWITCH APPROX HALFWAY BETWEEN THE UP AND DOWN SWITCHES.

ATTACH THE APPROPRIATE ELECTRICAL CONNETORS TO THE FLAP MOTOR AND TOTHE LIIT SWITCHES.

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

ONLY ATTACH THE CONNECTIONS TO THE LIMIT SWITCH TERMINALS W AND O. CONNECTING TO C DISABLES THE SWITCH.

SET FLAP CONTROL ON AIRCRAFT INSTRUMENT PANEL TO 50%

TURN ON ELECTRICAL POWER.

WHILE WATCHING THE FLAP ACTUATORS SELECT THE FLAPS TO THE UP POSITION. NOTE THE TRAVEL ON THE SHAFT.

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

IF THE ACTUATOR MOTOR DOES NOT STOP BEFORE THE SHAFT REACHES ITS TRAVEL LIMITS, IMMEDIATELY PULL THE FLAP CIRCUIT BREAKER.

ADJUST THE UP POSITION SWITCH SO THAT THE MOTOR SHUTS OFF AND THE TRAVEL OF THE SHAFT STOPS BEFORE TE SHAFT REACHES ITS TRVEL LIMIT.

MOVE FLAP POSITIONFROM UP TO 50% AND BACK TO ENSURE FLAP TRAVEL IS CORRECT. REPEAT THIS SEVERAL TIMES.

SET FLAPS TODOWN. WATCH THE SHAFT TO ENSURE CORRECT TRAVEL.

PARK THE POSTION OF THE REED SWITCHES WITH A PERMANENT MARKER FOR FURTURE REFERENCE.
TIGHTEN THE UP AND DOWN REED SWITCHES SNUG TO HOLD THEM AT THESE MARKED LOCATIONS.
