Brief Description: Prime and begin assembly of Left Flap - need to re
Primed all ribs, skins, etc. Dimpled ribs and skins. CS and dimpled for 906 B (l) bracket. Began assembly riveting. During process of riveting nose ribs / main ribs / nose skins the entire assembly developed a twist. About 1/2 inch. Looked at several angles and weighting skins / spar / ribs. but twist was REALLY there. Decided to reorder parts (~$300) and rebuild left flap. Basically month of Dec was a learning month - no forward progress, but lessons learned. 1. READ all instructions TWICE, identify every part and which ones to drill / rivet. 2. Check last work done to verify no missed rivets (forgot 3 rivets on FL-906 bracket until one skin was on, forgot / didn't notice that top skin should have had skin riveted to ribs BEFORE riveting bottom skin to spar) 3. Consider writing down next steps / starting point. 4. Keep up Builders log!!
