Brief Description: Drill and cleco aileron stiffeners
bought 2 2x2 3/8 inch plywood to drill into and to use as backing when back riveting the stiffeners to skins. back rivet bar (six footer) is real close to 3/8". So is back rivet plate. Instructions say to drill into table - I'm guessing to make sure skins stay as flat as possible?? Plywood boards save the new top of the new table. Drilled out left aileron / stiffener skins. Used tape as drill stop to keep from drilling too deep into new table top. test fitted the skins to the spar and its a good thing I did! There is a difference between inside and outside of the skin on how it fits to the spar (holes lining up.) Had top skin "upside down" I guess I got lucky on the bottom. Lucky nothing was riveted yet - would have to had drilled out all top skin stiffener rivets. Test fitted right aileron skins - bottom was "upside down" top ok GOOD THING I CHECKED!! Next is disassemble, remove blue plastic from inside and outside. Deburr and prime
