Brief Description: Mark and cut aileron pushrod assemblies
Mark two long tubes and cut 90 1/2" (17/32s"). Mark and cut short tubes 23 1/16. Used Band saw on long tubs (only small end had tom off each tube. Used Rockwell saw for small tubes - tube length 23 1/16 too ling to get cut with band saw. Cleaning up ends. Need to sand down the VA 169 threaded rod end because they are too tight to fit inside log tubes. Used combination of scotch brite and 2000 grit sand paper. Created spindle with drill and screw/washer/nut that allowed me to keep a nice round sanding motion. Also used small diameter scotch brite wheel in drill and wrapped that in scotch brite to clean out the inside of the tubes. All rod ends are easier to put on but still snug
