Using pre tapped tie down bars ordered on line. Marked spars, measured first hole to be drilled in AEX Tie Down. Instructions are to measure and drill first hole (#12) and then match drill remaining holes while attached to spar. Had to trim tie down AEX 3/16 s. Match drilled 4 bolt holes and 4 holes for nut plates on AEX tie down. Not called out directly but the nut plate holes need to be countersunk on the back side of the tie down. No pilot holes for the rivets - need to bolt the nut plates to tie down and use nut plate holes as match holes. Once nut plate holes are drilled and countersunk the entire tie down needs to be prepped and primed. Bolted and drilled rivet holes for nut plates. Scotch brite and primed tie down. Had to re-prime spots some primer came off too easy. Too much too soon. letting tie down dry overnight.
