Brief Description: Add / rivet support gusset between rib and trim sp
Received $3.00 gusset form Vans. To make it I would have had to purchase $200+ worth of tools (band saw / table saw, decent bench vise). Frist step is to fit and rivet gusset to root rib and trim spar. Fitted and drilled out holes to #30. Primed. Thought the last two holes on the trim tab spar also had to be drilled out and riveted. Tried to rivet a 4-4, failed, drilled out, then used a pop rivet. THEN just before popping the second rivet I re-looked at the plans and saw that they holes are for safety wiring the hinge rod. Should have moved the building binder one more time. Drilled out my first pop rivet. Other four rivets went in just fine. Had to drill out and replace one because my attempting riveting the last two holes bunged up the manufactured head. Came out easy and replaced.
