Brief Description: Fitting stiffener backing to skin before attaching
Trying attaching cardboard to outside of elevator skin to keep it from flexing and causing wrinkles. Thought is that skin wont flex if thick cardboard is attached with clecos. Since its cardboard it should not need to be drilled before attaching, but will it stay attached?? Taped cardboard to bottom of skin and clecoed / clamped to upright plywood works well. No wrinkles yet. Bottom stiffeners match drilled with reamer rather than drill. Holes are much smoother and very litter deburring will be required.
