Brief Description:  Nosewheel Mount Bushings & Strut Work

I removed the powder coating from the areas specified in the plans, to allow free movement between the nosewheel strut and mount bushings. I think I'm going to end up removing the powder over the entire upper strut as I have seen others do, to allow for better (and less permanent) insertion in the mount. I'm pretty sure it could hammer the strut in there...I'm also pretty sure I'd never get it out again. The epoxy is removed with a torch to bubble the paint, then a combo of a brass brush and a Dremel with a loose scotch-brite like wheel.

I also inserted the bronze bushings in the mount, and drilled and tapped for 10-32 panhead screws per the plans. The hardest part was actually cutting off the set screws to the correct length to be long enough but not interfere with the strut. Overall, no real problems with any of this.
