Brief Description:  Rudder Mk. II

I didn't like how my rudder was turning out, as several small errors had crept in which individually were acceptable, but together started making the result fall below my standards.

I cut the new rudder skin, which went much faster the second time through, and notched it for the rudder horn. The horn fit this time was significantly better than the last version, and the overall dimensions were closer to spec.

Only was snag -- When notching with snips I overcut at once point and ended up with a 13/64" cut in the skin, at the very bottom of the rudder. Sonex says that stop drilling at the top of the crack to keep it from growing into a crack, and filling with body filler (e.g. "Bondo") before priming/painting is a satisfactory fix. So overall very easy to deal with.
