Drilled the left elevator for the outer two ribs. I'll need to set the root ribs together when I set the overall 78" length, so that will wait until the other elevator gets done. This is taking a long time, because I'm measuring everything many time before cutting/drilling. Even so, my rivet lines are not perfectly straight. I tried drilling through the plastic covering to prevent scratching, but that lets the drill bit wander a bit too much. I since learned Sonex recommends that the plastic be removed before marking/drilling. Oh well, lesson learned, and Sonex says what I have done will pass muster, so onward!
