Brief Description: Riveted Stiffeners, Upper Crosstie and Floor
I got the floor/firewall stiffener assembly riveted together. I did that on the workbench, so that I would not have to deal with the odd angles of riveting inside the fuselage. The only part I had to do in the cockpit is the rear clip to floor stiffener rivets, which turned out to be easy.
Also bolted and riveted the upper crosstie. I had enlarged the outer two two holes on trilling due to the limited space drilling under the crosstie, so to insure a tight joint I drilled the hled out to #21 and went up from CCP-44 rivets to 5/32" CCPQ-56 rivets I had on hand. That crosstie isn't going anywhere, those larger stainless rivets are monsters.
Finally I started riveting the Forward fuselage floor to the longerons, lower crosstie, and stiffener. No problems there, everything came together very well.
