Brief Description: Repair Elevator Pushrod Supports
Drilled out and removed the two elevator pushrod supports, since I misplaced them on the aft fuselage crossties. I'm planning the "lowered seat" mod to provide more headroom, and it turns out this displaces the supports several inches toward the aircraft centerline (see pic 1).
I also went ahead and made some patch plates to fit between the supoort and the crossties, to hide the original rivet holes and make it look cleaner. The forward support plates are 2.75" x 8", and the rear ones are 2.75" x 6" (pic 2).
I'll probably go ahead and install the patch plates, but wait to install the supports until I can test-fit the pushrod, and make sure the alignment is perfect so I don't have to do this again.
