Brief Description: EAA Technical Advisor Inspection
Since my next kits are delayed 3 months (due now in Dec/Jan) I asked Ken Harrill from the Columbia EAA chapter to take a look at my mostly completed empennage/tail section. He looked it over and said everything looked good. I specifically asked about a slight skew in the alignment of the trim tab with the elevators and he said that it'd probably be okay. I'll wait until she flies and see if it's something that may need to be corrected. I also asked about a few rivets I had to upsize from AD3's to AD4's. No issues there either. Ken also gave me some techniques for correcting some of the fiberglass imperfections that are inherent in the Van's fairings.
