Attached HS and elevators together. Screwed in 4 rod end bearings. Made a tool from electrical PVC pipe to help screw in the bearings. Used a short piece of 1/2" schedule 40. Cut a 3/8" notch in the small end and cut off about a 1" piece off the other end to act as a collar for the small end. It worked great. I used the Avery Hinge pin tool to help attach the HS and elevator together. This tool helps when you only need a temporary attachment. Once the pieces were attached I had to turn the rod end bearings out 1 turn since the rolled leading edge of the elevator was slightly hitting the rear spar of the HS. Did the same for both sides. The counter balance ends lined up pretty good with the HS. Mostly parallel.
