Brief Description:  Countersinking and dimpling

I finally got past Pg 9-09. It seemed to take a while to finish that page. Today was countersinking, dimpling and prepping parts for primer. I countersunk the TE wedges using the drill press, the trailing edge jig from Cleaveland and the modified countersink bit from Cleaveland. The bit comes in their -14 tool kit and already has the tapered pilot so using that bit with the jig allows for a flush countersink. I then clecoed the forward trim tab hinge in place on the rear spar and countersunk those holes using the air drill with the countersink cage tool. I clamped the rear spar to the workbench using a piece of wood and clamps. Once the holes corresponding to the hinge were done I used the Numatx squeezer to dimple all the rest of the holes in the rear spars. The yoke and die combination I used didn't require any modification as mentioned in the plans. It was a 3" yoke with a sub structure female dimple die. It went much quicker than using the DRDT. I then wiped down most of the pieces with MEK substitute in preparation for priming. Now that most all the skins and ribs are dimpled that will be next.
