Brief Description:  Fabricated trailing edge wedge

Fabricated the trailing edge wedge for the left and right elevators. The plans have you trim the edges then taper the outboard sides to match the thickness of the Elevator Tip Fairings (E-912). I measured about 1/8" so I used the belt sander, a file and block sanding to accomplish this taper. I layed the tip fairings up against the tip rib assemblies to get an idea of what the plans were talking about. It made sense at that point and looking ahead to Ch 12 you can see where a notch is cut in the fairing to allow it to slip into the tip rib assembly. That's why you need to taper the outboard ends to match the trailing edge thickness of the fairing.
