Glued the hinge into the elevator but before I drilled every 1 1/2" a 1/8" hole to give a little bit more grip for the glue. Sanded all with 60 grid sand paper and used a piece of 1/2" balsa as the filler for the trailing edge gap, then I covered all with a 1mm fibre glass sheet to give a nice finish. A lot of clamps and tape hold everything in place.
