Of cause the delivered leg faring was too narrow as well, because I had the stronger landing gear on my plane ordered, the faring was moulded too short and too thin not even with heating the fibre glass it could be stretched enough to fit. Also looked quite funny as they were more round than long and aero dynamic. I used some aluminium which was around and bend it around a poly pipe which had the diameter of the leg. Tape all together and the mould was ready for the fibre glass. Three layers of glass I had around was enough to give strength and flexibility for installing.
