Brief Description: Finished dimpling left fuse side skin.
I finished dimpling the left forward fuse skin with help from my extendable roller stand to support the skin. It's more reliable that teenage boys and gives me less crap about helping too! I will start edge finishing the right skin next session.
I ordered 3M Fire Barrier 2000+ from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty today. According to some test results posted on VAF.net by Dan Horton, it is the best stuff to seal the firewall to side and bottom skin juncture. It will keep carbon monoxide out of the cabin and fill the voids during a fire as well. It is silicone based and has good sealing properties over 1000 degrees.
