Brief Description: Final fit of tail cone assembly.
I wrestled the F-706 forward most bulkhead into place and got it clecoed. Next, I fitted the tail cone and tail wheel back in place after a little more trimming. The final fit and alignment is good.
I ran out of clecos even with the 125 I borrowed from Gerry so I plan to buy 300 from Van's for $.40/ea.
The last thing I did tonight was to double check the aft fuse for being level and then used the tooling holes in the mid section bulkheads to check for any twist to the fuse. Everything looks good, so next session I can start to match drill the J-channel stringers to the bulkheads using the skin holes as guides. Then comes a ton of prep work before riveting this all together.
