Brief Description: Visited the Veterans Memorial in my home town.
This weekend we went to visit family in Gratiot, Wisconsin, my home town. We had a good time and stopped to look at a new Veterans Memorial downtown near the ball park. It is a very small town, but has a lot of names on the border bricks of local men and women that have served our country, some making the ultimate sacrifice. My Dad has a brick, having served in the Army in the 1950's. He enjoyed most of his time in the service and made several lasting friendships. A couple guys would stop by to visit every once in a while over the years until he passed on in 1999.
