Brief Description:  Made good progress on HS right side.

I got a couple hours in today on a beutiful Labor Day Weekend. The right skin is going together with better fit and finish compared to the left. Structurally, there is not difference, but a quick deburr of the hole provides a better fit of the rivet and the masking tape protects it to give good results. I am happy with how the skins look. Have I said that enough? I am pretty pumped up this week after being gone for a few days on business and the process is going much better than the prior week when I had to drill out a few rivets, etc. I hope to have the horizontal stabilizer finished this weekend.

Erik, another neighbor of mine stopped by to check on the project this afternoon. He is also and A/P (airframe and powerplant mechanic) like Gerry and owns a parts business dealing in aircraft parts for corporate jets and turboprops. He started it a couple years ago and has eight employees currently, sounds like things are going well. Erik thought the RV was a pretty cool airplane and the project seemed to interest him. He just sold his Bonanza which is one of the better performing single engine general aviation airplanes. He wasn't sure what he would replace it with, maybe an RV Erik?
