Brief Description: Took a demo flight in the RV-7A
As we were leaving the Aurora area today the weather cleared just long enough for Ken Scott to give me a demo flight in the 7A. He is a big guy at around 6'4", I won't guess his weight, but with both of us on board and 2/3 fuel we climbed out at 1600 feet per minute behind the 200hp engine.
It was a great flight and I was able to make a few turns and get a feel for the aircraft during slow flight. Ken showed me some higher rate partial rolls and the capabilities of the craft were evident. We talked about the electric trim and I decided to include that in the tail kit I ordered yesterday. I left Van's pretty pumped up about the project and am excited to start practicing the skills I will need to develope.
