Today I finished the task of deburring all holes edges and countersinking where required. Next, I started riveting together the rudder counterweight rib and attached the weight. Then I removed it to make it easier to handle while I finish the rest of the rudder. Next, I riveted all of the nutplates and doublers to the spar, followed by the rudder horn that I primed and the brace. After that, the plans called for adding a chewing gum sized bit of silicone RTV at the back of the rudder doublers so that the skin won't crack over time. I added the RTV and then clecoed the frame into the skin to dry overnight, and I'll rivet around the edges with a squeezer tomorrow.
