Once the paint on the hinges had gone off well - could start assembly. But a trial fit showed the crank didn't fit (did fit before painting - though it was tight). So I marked the crank end location on the elevators, then used the dremil to carefully trim the paint from that area. Back-bladed with a chisel to smooth and flatten the areas. Then removed one elevator, fitting the bell-crank in, refitted the elevator then bolted the crank in place. Took quite a while fitting the washers and bolts through the small access hole in the bottom of the elvators. Started the measure and fit of the torque tube. Used the level in the iPhone as it gives a very accurate digital readout of the angles.
