A quick bit of general work today. Drilled and alloy plates for the front wheel assembly. Fitted the axle to the lower weldment - then sent it off to Rodney to drill the locating bolt hole (my drills will not drill the axle material). Then took Peter T's advice and preloaded the brass bushes with machine oil. The simple technique was to fill the centre with oil, then squeeze the oil through the material until is appeared on the outside wall. When it did the bush was preloaded. You do learn useful things in apprenticeships ..... and I continue with the education and learning part of this project.
