Brief Description:  Seat belts and electrics

Seat belts now all fitted. Pulled the panel out again to find the elev trim position indicator fault. Spent hours checking and couldn't find the fault. No fault displayed with the panel out - but displayed as soon as the panel was reinstalled. So went through the process step-by-step checking after every single change.

Eventually found that the indicator only faulted when the radio arial lead was connected to the radio???? Disconnect the lead - all works fine. Conncet the arial lead to the radio and when the PPT is pressed (ie the radio transmits) the elevator trim indicator blacks out. Release the PPT and indicator light comes back on ... There is no electrical connection to the arial lead. I am thinking it is a flield issue - perhaps the indicator is so close to the radio arial lead that it is affected by the lead field. Will have to ask ED or Peter T ... Annoying ...
