Brief Description: Finishing sensor cables & fitting flap position in
Finished the connectors for all the engine sensors for the Dynon. Cut a new hole through the seat back and routed the cables.
I am fitting a push-button flap actuator, and it needs to know where the flaps are. So I am fitting a Ray Allen POS switch to the arm that holes the flap motor. I plut a piece of cardboard against the arm and drove the flap motor through its complete travel - marking the changing position. Then I extended the marks to find the pivot point, calculated where 30 degrees of travel would be (only want 30 degrees of flap) and with lots of trail and error chose a hole position to mount the senor arm. Part of the issue is that the sensor arm travels only 1 inch - so it has to be located close enough to the pivot point that 30 degrees of movement travels less than an inch.
Adding power to the flap motor, and marking the position of the arm.
