Had fun fitting the main gear pants today. The same as the front wheel pant - there is no reference to position or locate the pant so lots of trial and error fitting, trimming and refitting etc, etc. Ran string lines (prop flange to lower rudder bracket - then parallel lines through each wheel) to keep the pants in line with the line of flight. Managed to get both pants fitted by the end of the day. Still have to trim the bottom cut-outs for the wheels, and do all filling and repair - then fit all the nut plates. Next project - the gear fairings ......
