Brief Description:  Wing AOI setting and initial flap fitting

A good progress day. Mark P, Peter T & Dean J came around for the day and we were able to turn the fuselage in the garage so we could refit the wings (ie get the spar bolts back in again).

Got that done OK and then drilled the AOI bolt holes for both wings.

We then cut the slots in the fuselage for the flap control rod and fitted both flaps. The tricky part was the fixing of the inboard flap brackets to the fuselage side. This can only be done with the wings in place with the flaps attached. But then it is impossible to get at the bracket that mounts to the fuselage. Peter T's technique was to use 5 min araldite and glue the inboard brackets to the fuselage - then remove the wings and drill the mounting bolt holes while the brackets are still glued on. Yet again - it is much easier when someone has built one before ...............

The aircraft is now all packed away again as we head back to Cambodia for another stint in the tropics.
