A mixed day today. The elevators are too close together by about 1/8"" for the elevator connecting bell crank to fit. Before trimming the elevator surfaces they needed to be reinforced. After advice from Denis B and Peter T, a hole was cut in the underside of each elevator and resin injected and allowed to settle inside the end surface. Once cured I can cut the outside gelcoat back without weakening the end of the elevators.
Went back to the canopy and started filling the bottom joint between the frame and cover. Also filled all the screw holes (made when the cover was screwed to the frame while the resin set and other blemishes in the frame.
Started work on the wheel assembles. Removed the rims and brake disk from the axles, fitted the axle brackets and drilled the location bolt holes.
