Brief Description:  Fabricating and installing rudder assemblies

Another simple job is extended .......
The instructions call for the top support brackets for the rudder asemblies to be 24"" apart - so I spaced them 24"" apart and drilled the holes and mounted them. When I build the assemblies and went to fit them, the connecting bar was 1"" too long (ie the support brackets were 1"" too close. After some measurements, I worked out that the support brackets needed to be 24"" from outisde edge to outside edge (ie 23"" apart or 23"" clear on the inside) - in Oz we call that 23"" apart! So more removal and work.

Once all was OK the stops were fabricated and riveted into place.

Put the engine mount back on (with backing plates) then located and drilled for the flute tube support brackets - then trimmed and mounted the brackets. Had a coffee while working out what to do with the flute tube round black ""handles"". Can't find anything in the manual so will ask Peter T when i catch up with him."
