Brief Description:  First fit of canopy skins

Sanded smooth the inside of the skins. There were 2 joints for each skin half, and the joints were double thickness - not good if we are to achieve a flat and smooth finish.

With much manual holding in position and moving around, managed to get the skins to sort-of fit with the exception of near the top joint (where the latch will be fitted). With the skins pressed flat on the canopy - and on the canopy frame where the frame was proud of the canopy itself - the supplied skins were the wrong shape to fully cover the canopy frame. Decided to make the repair job high on the canopy out of the normal sight line - except for 7 footers! After chatting to Peter T at length, have come to the conclusion that the old system (running the canopy itself right past the frame) was slower but gave a better result.

Will now start slowly trimming the skin until the canopy can be closed back down to its stops. Will then be able to size the shut-line and check the alignment with the fuse.
