Brief Description: Fitting the rudder brackets & rudder
Had Mark & Andrea on site today - and they tackled the rudder mounting project. The main issue was transfering the bracket position from the rudder to the fin - with very little space or clearance. Mark used a variation on Selwyn's technique to transfer the alignment. The second issue is access to the nuts for the top bracket - on the inside of the fin. Selwyn commented that if he did the exercise again, he would cut a temporary access hole in the top of the fin to make it much easier to get a spanner on the nuts - so we did. And it worked! Mark then measured the rudder travel so I can check it against the travel on PeterT's completed plane.
