Needed a change from filling and sanding the bottom fuse joint line and the underside HS fairing - so decided to fit the steps while all was upside down. Discovering one of the advantages of a composite aircraft - see through! I placed the steps in a logical position - but had to check clearance for the bolt and nut closest to the narrow karmen. Climbed underneath and could see the bolt holes through the fibreglass. Simply had to make sure there was enough space inside where I could see the bolt holes in the steps for the bolts & nuts to fit. Once happy, drilled the holes and test bolted them. All OK. Took the steps off again to send off to be chromed.
