Brief Description:  More avionics debugging ....

Still got 3 issues to be properly sorted - faulty E-flap controller, low fuel pressure reading and fuel tank calibration.

Have eventually exhausted all the avenues I can practically follow to get the E-falp contoller to work correctly. I can select UP and only 1 down position. That should be enough for flight testing but I'll research other flap control options now and throw the E-flap contorller away.

Been getting low fuel pressure readings on the Dynon - around 2.2psi with the electric boost pump on when it should be closer to 4psi. And WOT sees the pressure reading drop to zero. So again with Peter T's help I made up an adaptor to connect his pressure meter to the end of the fuel line that normally attaches to the fuel pressure sender unit. Surprise, surprise - Peter's meter reads the pressure exactly as it should be ..... Fiddled with the connections on the pressure sender but the low readings remained constant. Next step, buy a replacement pressure sender unit and see if I can't get accurate readings to display on the Dynon.

My manual has very poor instructions on calibrating the fuel level sender units - but Peter's D180 manual (also from Dynon) has very clear instructions. So Robert and I read them and are now ready to stage fill each tank (in 5 ltr increments) and calibrate the fuel level units. Then we will have fuel level readings on the Dynon. Have to use the correct fuel as the level sensors work on resistence in the fuel, and different fuels have different dielectric constants (learnt that one today from Peter's manual!).
