Mixed some appointments in Mandurah with some work at the hanger. Fitted the radio arial lead supressors - they worked fine, ie no interferance with the LED elevator trim indicator. Painted the arial stub holder - (it was unpainted orange electrical conduit. Fitted the newly sourced OAT probe connector, then pulled the connector into the Dynon module - OAT nows reads correctly. Ran the electric fuel pump and we now have no leaks in the fuel lines. Pulled the panel and checked all E-flap connections and resistances - couldn't find any fault.
Emailed the manufacturers of the E-flap with a description of what was happening and what I had tested and tried - they asked me to remove the unit and mail it back to them (in the USA!) for checking and fixing if need be....
Contacted the engineer to certify the aircraft - he advised he needs the wieght and balance done first - so now need to book Ed when he is next in Perth. Then bolt all the extras back on (like wheel coevers etc) that I took off for the engineer!
