Brief Description:  Fitting the pitot.

Received the mount for the Dynon AOA pitot tube and it is designed to be installed in a metal skinned wing - and be fitted before the skins go on. Not much use for a completed composite wing ..... So decided to keep the Dynon pitot tube for a later install - and fit the standard pitot tube instead.

The tube is fitted 2/3 the way out along the wing - next to the inspection hole so you can use the hole for access to mounting nuts. The air tubes need to run back to the fuselage and the only pathway is the wing rib holes for the aileron push tubes. Took a while with a sparky's cable puller to get it past all the wing ribs and through to the fuseage.

Pulled both air tubes through the wing and fitted them to the pitot tube. Then had an interesting time holding the nuts inside the wing while screwing the pitot tube mounting screws into place.

The air tubes are about 800mm short inside the fuselageb - so now have to source an extra 2m of tubing to complete the pitot system.
