Brief Description: Making up cover plates for throttle quadrant & fue
After searching for a suitable 1-2mm plastic sheet to make the covers - for a few months - and not finding any sheet with a finish we liked - decided to make the covers out of alloy and paint them. Used the cardboard templates and slowly jigsawed and filed the plates to shape. The 1mm alloy is too "floppy" so made up 2mm ply backing plates and glued then on to act as stiffeners. Enjoyable "crafting" work.
