Brief Description: Making up oil cooler oil hoses.
Discovered the supplied oil line tubing was 3" short. The manual shows the oil cooler swinging of the firewall from a 1 1/4" angle. Called Dennis at Lightning Australia and he advised that with the new 1" longer engine mount (as I have) the cooler needs to be swung at least 4" from the firewall. Pity there is no mention in the build manual - I built it as depicted in the photos ............... Of to the performance shop to buy more braided tubing.
No instructions for making the hoses. Back to YouTube - found some good videos on hose making. Needed to fit and remove the lower cowl to position the cooler correctly to measure hose lemgth. Followed the procedures in the video and made up the two hoses.
