Brief Description: Fitting scat tube and CHT sensors and ram aid duct
Started fitting the scat tubes - but couldn't get the tube over the fibreglass flanges on the air box. Tried heating the spiral metal inside the scat tube but that didn't work. Called Dennis B and he advised that they sand down all flanges so the tubing fits before they install any fittings - bit late to know that now. Spent over an hour sanding one flange - used 180 then 80 grit emery - but can only get the tube half on. Will chat to the boys and see what the trick is.
Went to fit the cylinder head temperature sensors under the spark plugs but found the plugs were 3/4" or 18mm - only had 5/8 and 13/16 spark plug sockets so off to Bunnings again. Checked the specs and fittting all 6 CHT sensors - then pulled the plugs up to 11nm.
Finished the plug lead holding plates (under the grommet at the back of the air ducts. Cable tied all the sensor leads and fitted the ram air ducts.
