Brief Description: Final fit of firewall and engine mount.
Unpacked the new machine screws for the elevator hinges - recessed the holes for the countersunk washers and fitted the screws - but the shanks are too long so new screws needed.
Trial fitted the firewall again to make sure - filed some of the holes through the firewall to make sure there is no fouling. Waited till I had a small body available (Thon!) to get inside and hold the bolts. Pressed the firewall over the bolts then lightly tensioned al the bolts. Left the assembly until the sealer had set.
Went back and properly tensioned all the nuts (after the sealant had set). Re-fitted the engine mount and tensioned the bolts.
Replaced the over length bolt on the flap motor. Replaced the short bolt on the front gear leg.
Prepared the rubber engine mount blocks - now ready to refit the engine.
High temp gasket sealant.
