Brief Description: Oil dipstick access cover - top cowl
Eventually sourced a spring-loaded, push-button camloc for the cover. Built up the carrier and the striker and fitted it all together. Unfortunately the curved action of the cover opening meant the latch had to be set back about 5mm to avoid fouling the cowl - the travel of the latch is about 6mm so in the closed position, the latch held by only 1mm ..............
Went back to square one and fitted two standard screw camlocs. Clumsier to operate - but much more secure in flight.
